Coddle-Poppers would never simply introduce a friend as ‘Fred the Farmer’, no sir that would not do at all. Not just because Coddle-Poppers always use the fullest of full names, but the main reason is because they like to introduce their friends for who they are and not what they do.‘This is Frederick Farquar-Fendleson the Fourth, one of the most kindest gentlemen I know’ or maybe as ‘Frederick Farquar-Fendleson the Fourth who helped me move all my wine making equipment when I didn’t know anyone here in Hoof-Hearted Hollow.’
With Coddle-Poppers introducing their friends for who they are rather than what they do, it always reminds their friends that they are loved before and even beyond their titles. It’s an easy way for Coddle-Poppers to remind their friends that they see them for their hearts instead of their accomplishments and let’s not forget that every time a Coddle-Popper does an act of kindness it’s heart grows two sizes bigger too!
Humans should try remembering this fact as resumes are just pieces of paper.
It must be said that Coddle-Poppers still want others to know that Frederick Farquar-Fendleson the Fourth is a farmer and is amazing at what he does, but more than that, Coddle-Poppers want others to know that the stuff inside Frederick Farquar-Fendleson the Fourth is what makes him an awesome friend. The sort of stuff that makes the Coddle-Popper want to stand beside his friend at a ‘Shin-Dig’ in the hopes that their thoughtfulness, quick wit and observations might rub off on them too.
If a Coddle-Popper were to offer a human some advice, it might be to avoid introducing the people that you love based solely on what they do, who they work for or their facebook status. Instead, start reminding your loved ones of how special they are to you.
If you want one more tip that goes with it, try and avoid chit-chat that doesn’t begin with and end with who has the most interesting job in the room.
Coddle-Poppers know that networking builds Empires, but what they also realise is that it is the thoughtful introductions that builds communities.
How will you lay your building bricks from now on?
Until next time, be good, keep smiling and together we’ll change the World – One act of kindness at a time. :0)
About the writer: Jeremiah Doodle Dumpling is the story Keeper at Once Upon a Time. At 374 years old, he is not a very old Coddle Popper as they can live to be nine hundred and ninety nine and a half years. Or so I think. One Coddle Popper claimed that he was nine hundred and ninety nine and three quarters once, but he could not find his birth certificate and his parents were not around to confirm it so it could not be proved. No sir, twiddle nonsense and such stuff cannot be proved without your parents present.
