Here at Faery Wood we are very fortunate to have the only two headed donkey in all of Canada, though there are still a few in Europe, they mainly herd in the southern parts of the States, where they are wild and can free-range. This particular breed is called a ‘Donkadonk’. We lucked out when we found this one on e-bay. We paid a gentleman who only referred to himself as ‘Jack’, some ‘Magic Beans’, and collected him from a third party agent at Doctor Doolittle’s travelling circus which was here in Fredericton late Summer of last year. Any of you visiting the circus last year, may well have seen this Donkadonk on the trapeze. He was awfully good, but the SPA got involved he has since retired from all that now.

Donkadonks are renowned for being stubborn as a mule and ours is no different … but that is only because they do not know whether they are coming or going! Riding the Donkadonks can be described as either really exciting or really dangerous as we still do not know which end to put the saddle on! The next time that you are passing near Faery Wood, be sure to bring him/them a carrot.

Until next time, be good, keep smiling and together we’ll change the World – one act of kindness at a time. :0)
