This Month’s Word: CONNECT

Article by: William ‘Wordy’ Wordsworth

Making positive changes, on a consistent basis, requires you to connect with people who make you feel good. Are you surrounded by others who support you or are you surrounded by people that just want to take from you? Some people will offer you encouragement and help your path to be clear and free. Other people will try to deter you from your dreams and tell you of the rocky road you are on that only have a downward spiral at the end! Yes sir, it can make a big difference to how much effort you have to put in and how much you enjoy life.

This is a question you should ask yourself every day. Do they help or hinder me on my journey through life. The more time you spend connecting with people with the same goals as you, the better you will feel. Make it a habit to seek out these people and notice how you feel when you do. Yes sir, do you feel light and free like a butterfly, or heavy and stifled like a blocked nose.

The world is filled with people who are more than happy to drain your energy. It is your responsibility to surround yourself with love and support. Yes sir, so spread your wings and fly as high as you can with the support of those around you. Fly little birdie, fly and enjoy every minute of the journey.

Until next time, be good, keep smiling and together we can change the world – one act of kindness at a time.
